Out of concern for the safety of our employees and their relatives, and bearing in mind the constantly growing number of traffic accidents, we conducted an internal first aid training. Due to the large number of registered people, the training was conducted in two dates. Participants practically practiced the principles of providing assistance until the arrival of emergency services, in particular:
- applying first aid dressing,
- stopping hemorrhages,
- dealing with an unconscious victim,
- cardiopulmonary resuscitation of an adult, child and infant on advanced training phantoms that realistically represent the victim and give the possibility of full monitoring of the quality of performed actions using the e-application.
We also discussed cases of non-traumatic life-threatening conditions: choking, strokes, myocardial infarctions, electric shocks, flooding, etc.
The training was conducted by Mr. Bartosz Wróbel, a paramedic with many years of experience, a member of the LPR (Air Ambulances) crew, as well as a certified instructor of International Trauma Life Support and Advanced Life Support courses for both adults and children, with whom we have been cooperating for years. Thank you for the knowledge you have given us.
Each participant received a certificate of completion of first aid training.
It didn’t take long to see the effects of the course. Only a few days later, one of the participants saved household member from choking using the Heimlich maneuver. When asked how exactly he did it, he replied describing the event:
– It was a reflex, I didn’t even think about it.
And that’s what the training is all about, that they should be carried out often enough to make first aid an unconditional action.
